SHRMA Monthly meeting: December 9, 2021: We will be donating our time at the Salvation Army Christmas event. This is held at the Clark County Fairgrounds in the Mercantile building. This replaces the December meeting and is our community service event for the year.This is a fun event and very heartwarming to see what our community has to offer our kids. We pack wish lists of the kids and hopefully put some smiles on their cute little faces!

They also take donations and need many of them. This is where the Toy Run toys/money go. The red kettle money etc. Bikes are a BIG wanted item. Barbies, legos, baby dolls, the "hot toys of the year" hot wheel type play sets, hair sets, lotions, ear buds (air pod like) clothing, soft cozy blankets for the older kids, cash, that they can go complete someone's wish list with if the certain items aren't available.

• If you bring a friend that is interested in seeing how our group works, you will be entered into a raffle.
• If you sign up for the 2022 SHRMA membership prior to December 7th, you will be entered for a $50 gift card of your choice.
• If you bring toys/items for the Salvation Army event that we will be attending on December 9th, you will be entered into a raffle as well.
• That is 3 opportunities for a raffle prize! :-)
• I will be following up with a calendar invite to all our membership. If you accept on the invite prior to December 3rd, you will receive 2 drink tickets from USI. Otherwise, you can still attend, but will need to purchase your own drinks.

We are hoping to create a "Job Board" throughout our membership group in 2022, where we can all share resources and candidates. Some candidates don't fit within our own companies, but do fit into our SHRMA friends. I have been collaborating this year with 3 of our members and giving them candidates when they don't fit us. It has been working pretty well. We would like to make this on a larger scale and share the info. If anyone has any ideas on how to format this, please get with me and we will make it happen.

We would like to connect people with the right resources. Many of our members have this knowledge, we just need a way to get the information out. This will be a focus for 2022 as well.

The intention is to host 2 seminars next year. One on Mental Health. The other will be a Manager focus. As HR professionals, we attend the conferences and hear what our Managers should do. Most of us already know this.....but do they? So, we would like to host this seminar and get a speaker out in front of local managers and Supervisors with SHRMA as the host. More information will come in the first quarter of next year.

August 6, 2022: SHRMA 5K beginning at 9am. Setup at 8am.

November 30, 2021 from 7:45 to 3:15pm: We are looking for 10 volunteers to help out with some mock interviews at Northwestern Middle School. It can be part of the day. It does not need to be the entire day, so if you can donate a couple hours, it would be greatly appreciated! Please let me know if you can help. This is for a 7th/8th grade careers class.

We are open to suggestions and really excited about the Refresh in 2022!
